Lessons

Scratch lessons are heavily focused on gamification and to provide unforgettable fun experience for students. Through these enjoyable lessons they will create an understanding of the basics for future programming in high-level languages such as Python, C++, Java.

Students will actively develop and share their creations so the whole family can enjoy the results together. The motivation will then stay on to help with the further phases of development. Acknowledgment of progress with certificate will be provided for milestones.

This module will allow a deeper understanding of Python data structures and their use, including classes, dictionaries and 2D lists to name a few. The course will be entirely practical-based with small linking theory sections for deeper understanding. The completion of the module is proven through a project. All code will be saved to GitLab/GitHub. 

The module will open up further avenues towards GUI design and work with more advanced libraries outside of the native environment such as PyGame or TensorFlow.

Prior to this trial session, potential students will receive a questionnaire to assess their level if requested. As the programming languages are using English as a core language the lessons will be taught in English with supporting documentation in a foreign language if required. For younger learners with limited English, German or Hungarian levels, Scratch offers language specific versions.

Upon the completion of the course, all completed projects will be saved to GitLab/GitHub where those can be used for future reference. Certification of completed modules will show progress and to celebrate landmark achievements.
